UK's pop-punk band, Neck Deep has finally visited Malaysia on the 26th January as the first stop of their World Tour for South East Asia. The concert was held at KL Venue with three opening acts from local bands Scarlet Heroes, An Honest Mistake and Patriots.

The band kicked off by playing Citizens of Earth from their latest album “Life’s Not Out To Get You” which immediately made the crowd go wild. And as expected, none stop moshing and crowdsurfing all the way through until the end of the one-hour concert.

Ben’s vocal is undeniably powerful and the band maintained a high energy throughout their performance making the whole experience vivid, raw and intimate for the fans due to the size of the venue.

Even though they are originally from UK, Neck Deep is under Hopeless Records (US) managements among other bands like All Time Low and New Found Glory.

Proudly claimed themselves as a generic pop-punk band with fast drum beats and strong riffs, these lads have also played on Warped Tour a few times (which is a big deal if you're familiar with the scene).

What went down:
The crowd was naturally divided into 3 groups-- the frontliners, the pit moshers and the 'I-don't-wanna-be-drenched-in-sweats' at the back. Despite the adrenaline waves and absence of barriers between the stage and the floor, security managed to handle the madness. Also, no one was injured.

The band also performed a few songs from their previous albums like fans’ favorite “Part Of Me” and “Over and Over” from Rain in July as well as “Losing Teeth” and “Crushing Grief” from Wishful Thinking. The Meet and Greet session was held shortly after the show ended.

Overall, it was an overdue wait for pop punk lovers in Malaysia but thanks to Rockiss, they finally got to see Neck Deep live and cross out one band from their must-watch-before-I-die list!
