Getting the munchies but you are too lazy to go out? Rice Krispie treats are too easy to make so you have no excuse to not try this out. 4 to 6 per serving (depends on how hungry you are).
All you need are three
simple ingredients:
- Kellogg’s Rice Krispies
- Marshmallows
- Two tablespoons of butter (you can melt it beforehand just like I have done)
1) Mix both butter and marshmallows in a bowl (let them get to know each other a bit better). Proceed
to heat in the microwave for 3 minutes max.
2) Once they are melted, lash out your strong hands and start whipping the mixtures
together until its all soft and gooey.
3) Add in the Rice Krispies and begin stirring until it becomes thick and
joint together.
4) Scoop out the rice krispies and put them
into a wider bowl (make sure to butter up the sides and bottom of the bowl to
avoid the treats from sticking to the glass). Pat down the rice krispies into an
even amount before putting them into the refrigerator for 20 to 25 minutes. Now
you are good to go, in other words, all you can do now is wait.
5) Tadaaaa! Your Rice Krispie treats is done
and ready to be munched. With these easy steps, now you will have something to
sell for bake sale or maybe when you are bored at home in need of a snack. You
are welcome.

The existence of concealers and other beauty products sure have make things easier for us to cover up flaws on our face wherever necessary by using make-up tricks to paint it perfect. But at the end of the day, all those chemicals will have to be removed. Many people take the condition of their skin lightly simply because there are alternatives to cover it. They overlooked the basis of looking good which begins from a healthy skin. So here are few simple tricks to keep your skin glowing and healthy!
1. The power of H2O
Staying hydrated is good for our cells because they are composed mainly of water. It's not just good for your face but also for the whole body. Consuming H2O doesn't mean you have to finish all 8 glasses portion in one sit, but consistently throughout the day.
2. Cleanse regularly
Your face will get oily faster if you are living or working in a dirty and hot environment. Excessive oil is never a good thing because it can lead to acne problem. However, make sure your cleanser suits your skin type to avoid it getting too dry.
3. UV protection
Applying UV protection for your skin doesn’t mean you have to put on sunblock all the time. Most day-cream is already included with SPF so just put that on as one of the measures to avoid from getting skin cancer. You know what they say, prevention is better than cure!
4. Let it breathe
Don’t suffocate your skin with chemicals. Always remove your make-up before going to bed and avoid wearing it if not necessary. It is understandable that people who have skin problems feel the need to hide behind make-ups but putting it on inches-thick won’t help solve it either. Put on just enough to build your confidence and make you look presentable. Also, get professional help if your skin condition is getting worse.
5. Because it is contagious!
We mean smiling! Smiling helps make you look younger, nicer and happier. The release of endorphin in your body when you smile makes it infectious to the people around you. So radiates positivity, after all, beauty is only skin deep.
This will save your ringgits a whole lot!
We know us girls tend to be (or always) short on cash but we’re dying to get that new makeup product on the counter. We’ve found simple solutions for you to make use of the products you have at home. It’s all about utilising the ones you have to make you look fab without spending a dime. Eyeshadows as lip stains, lip glosses as highlighters – WHAT?! Yes, read on to find out more.

HOW-TO: This lovely “magic” wand not only enhances your lashes but did you know it could also be use as a coloured brow gel. Yes, just put in a few strokes depending on how dark you want your eyebrows to look. For girls with thinner eyebrows, mascara can easily darken them and make it look fuller like a tinted mascara brow and for girls with thicker brows you can use it to polish and neatened up those brows to replace brow gels.
2. Eyeshadows to lipsticks
HOW-TO: From earthy tone to dark vampy colours, you have so many colour choices to choose in an eye shadow palette. You can play around with eye shadows by using it to make your own lipstick palette. Yes, you heard it, eye shadow on the lips. Just mix it with Vaseline! It’ll give you a sheer lip colour which you can build up.
Other options: Use black or dark brown eye shadow to line the eyes. Or even use it to darken or shape your brows. It’ll look more natural rather then a pencil liner or brow liner. If in need of bronzer, use earthy colour eyeshadow and contour it as usual.
3. Lip gloss for dewy complexion
HOW-TO: Dewy makeup looks are all over the runway. You don’t have to get yourself a new gel based or highlighter product. Just use a Lip gloss. The most underrated beauty product that can do you wonders. To create that dewy complexion just use clear or light coloured gloss on the eyelids and on top of your cheek bones to create that dewy and natural healthy glow complexion.
Other options: use it as a face highlighter place it on the forehead and nose. Remember to put on a decent amount and not slather the whole lot to avoid being stuck in a sticky shiny situation.
4. Lipsticks to Creme Blushers
HOW-TO: Ah! The good old fashion lipstick. Their soul purpose is to brighten up your look, why not try putting them on the cheeks instead of your lips. You can just forget about buying a crème blusher and just swipe a bit of lipstick on the apples of the cheeks and blend it in with your fingertips. You’ll have instant flushed rosy cheeks to look sweet, romantic and au natural.
5. Shimmer dust to shimmer lip gloss
HOW-TO: You might think you’ll only use this once but those loose fine diamond or star powder can be use to create a shimmery lip gloss. You just mix your favourite lip-gloss colour and sprinkle a decent amount of star powder to have that gorgeous hint of sparkle on the lips.
Other option: You can also put it in the hair and spray with hairspray for a nice shimmer when the lights shines on your hair. Also, lightly dab it on a big brush and just brush it lightly over your arms and décolletage so that they glimmer when the light hits. Remember to go easy on the shimmer you don’t want to look like *cough Edward Cullen cough*.

The ingredients that you will need:
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar/white sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil/coconut oil (just to make the sugar stick together)
- A teeny tiny little drop of vanilla essence (to make it smell and taste yummy, but isn’t necessary)
- A small container (if you want to save it for later)
Directions:
- Mix 2 tablespoons of brown/white sugar with 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil to get it to stick together.
- Don’t forget the vanilla essence for yummy taste and odour!
- And… you’re done!
Rub the scrub in circular motion onto your lips once a week (twice, maximum!). Rub strong enough to loosen the dead skin. Don’t wash it right away! Let it dry for 60 seconds, and then wipe off with a damp tissue/washcloth. Lastly, apply lip balm afterwards for extra effectiveness. The scrub will make your lips soft and kissable ;)
Tips:
- Don’t over use it. Remember that our lips are fragile.
- You can add Vaseline too!
- Try combining the brown and white sugar.
- Try adding a little salt to make it taste better and plus, salt is a lot softer for the skin.
