Monki x Lynnie Zulu brings vibrancy to the summer collection.

The eclectic Swedish brand Monki has come up with another great creative collaboration, this time with London based artist and illustrator, Lynnie Zulu. Zulu brought forth her creation of quirky prints and vibrant colours, a perfect combo for the print loving fashion brand.

The summer key pieces that you will see are the all-over printed dresses, a jumpsuit, a capsule swimwear line, an off the shoulder baby doll dress, a fun 90s bustier and a cool watermelon and banana purses just to name a few.

Here’s what Lynnie Zulu has to say about the new collab:

What was your idea for the Monki x Lynnie Zulu collection? 
A refreshing dip into the summer of 2015. I’ve always had a big love for tropical visuals and mystifying characters. There’s something quite seductive yet humorous that happens when you combine the two together.

How would you describe the different prints and patterns? 
I created a variety of intense, layered, almost graffiti-like images, some filled with attitude and others more elegant and stripped back. Some of the prints make you go on a visual discovery trip, the more you look, the more you’ll see.

What drew you to this collaboration?

I really loved Monki’s vision, the cut, style and overall application of their ideas. Nothing is off limits. They have a great balance of simple garments and bold garments that are printed head to toe. And Monki’s cheeky sense of humour definitely comes across in their collections, which was an instant connection to my work and myself!

What’s the next step for you?
Many exciting projects are brewing... but I still need to keep quiet about them!

Monki x Lynnie Zulu will hit the stores and monki.com from the end of May. Prices will range from RM30 to RM100.
