In the busy streets of Kuala Lumpur, Mikey’s New York Pizza has been the talk of the town. We’ve been seeing a ton of instagramed pictures of their scrumptious looking huge pizza So we thought we’d give it a try.

For obvious reasons going to New York for their pizza's would leave us broke, but thank God for the existence of Mikey’s because now we get to have a slice (or more) of NY without having to go around the world.

The interior concept is very NY with its red-bricked walls, checkered flooring, they have the street names as their order numbers. Photos of Frank Sinatra, The Yankees, Broadway plays, infamous buildings in The Big Apple and other photos for customers to have a taste of the city.

The ambience of the restaurant is so chilled out and just an overall perfect place to unwind with family and friends whilst getting top-notch waiting services.

Ah the food! Without a doubt the portion is very satisfying. Each pizza has its own unique identity to suit the people’s taste buds. We tried 3 different toppings under the chef’s recommendation.

The first was the Classic Pizza. It’s the Chef’s recommendation and we know why. The amount of mozzarella cheese and the tomato base are just right. It’s the perfect all time classic pizza. First timers should go for this to start your journey on eating Mikey’s pizza.

Pizza Bianca, a 4 flavored cheese pizza which cheese lover out there will appreciate. Let’s see there were cheddar, mozzarella, ricotta and goat’s cheese with a slight punch of garlic, sprinkled with black pepper and olive oil. We recommend eating it whilst it is still hot and melting.

Tip: if you can’t take all the cheesy goodness try dipping it in any of the available dipping sauces, this will help to take it to another level of awesomeness.

The last one was Meatball Pizza. It had the right amount of meat and the texture was nowhere near greasy. If you’re in the mood for some meat this is one to try. Top with meatballs, caramelized onions, roasted peppers and garlic. Thus, a slice is enough to filled up your hungry belly.

If you’re not in the mood for pizza's, they have other choices like waffle fries which comes with different dipping sauces, buffalo chickens, chicken and meatball parmigiana and philly cheese steak.

The pricing are quite reasonable for the size of the pizza. The price ranges from MYR 8.88 (slices) to MYR88.88 (a pie).

Fancy satisfying your pizza craving? Head over to their available outlets Bangsar Jalan Telawi 2 or Publika. For more information head over to their website or give them a ring at 03-6211-6293
