DIY Lip Scrub

With the constant change of weather in our country, our lips suffer for it. Our lips often get chapped, covered in a layer of irritating, crusty, peeling dead skin that frequently ends up getting bitten or peeled off and I am sure that it doesn’t look good on you. As a woman, we always want to look good, but as a student, we are always out of money especially to buy beauty products that we can’t afford. Worry no more! Because I have found the perfect and easiest DIY lip scrub using basic ingredients that you can find in your kitchen. Here’s how;

The ingredients that you will need:
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar/white sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil/coconut oil (just to make the sugar stick together)
- A teeny tiny little drop of vanilla essence (to make it smell and taste yummy, but isn’t necessary)
- A small container (if you want to save it for later)

Directions:
- Mix 2 tablespoons of brown/white sugar with 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil to get it to stick together.
- Don’t forget the vanilla essence for yummy taste and odour!
- And… you’re done!

Rub the scrub in circular motion onto your lips once a week (twice, maximum!). Rub strong enough to loosen the dead skin. Don’t wash it right away! Let it dry for 60 seconds, and then wipe off with a damp tissue/washcloth. Lastly, apply lip balm afterwards for extra effectiveness. The scrub will make your lips soft and kissable ;)

Tips:
- Don’t over use it. Remember that our lips are fragile.
- You can add Vaseline too!
- Try combining the brown and white sugar.
- Try adding a little salt to make it taste better and plus, salt is a lot softer for the skin.
